El proyecto #ElSeiboResiliente inició el intercambio de experiencias para el fortalecimiento de las capacidades del Comité Municipal de Prevención, Mitigación y Respuesta (CM-PMR) del Municipio Miches.
La mañana de hoy, una delegación de dicha comunidad, visitó las instalaciones de la Defensa Civil Dominicana para conocer el rol del Sistema Integrado Nacional de Información (SINI), el funcionamiento de la sala de situación de la defensa civil, el departamento de operaciones y la escuela nacional de gestión del riesgo.
Durante la visita, el encargado del SINI, Coronel Rubén Frontal, le entregó a la alcaldesa de Miches Alcadia de Miches, Sra. Luz María Mercedes, como líder del PMR, el mapa del perfil de vulnerabilidad municipal, el cual les ayudará a identificar las zonas vulnerables del municipio.
En el segundo día de trabajo, en horas tempranas, se visitó la sala de situaciones y operaciones de la Defensa Civil en Puerto Plata, donde se pudo conocer cómo son monitoreadas las comunidades más vulnerables de la provincia. De igual manera, se realizó un recorrido por la comunidad de San Marcos, una zona altamente vulnerable por su ubicación, con el propósito de conocer los sistemas de vigilancia de crecida del río y sensores de desbordamiento para la alerta temprana.
