Como parte de las actividades de integración de empresarios del sector ganadero y agrícola, el proyecto #ElSeiboResiliente, representado por Svenja Paulino, Directora del Portafolio Biodiversidad y Negocios – GIZ, firmó un Memorando de Entendimiento con #HaciendaElMorro representada por el Sr. Felix Paredes, donde este último se compromete a la rehabilitación de 200 hectáreas con el apoyo técnico del proyecto El Seibo Resiliente.
Este acuerdo se realiza con la finalidad de fomentar la implementación de medidas de adaptación basada en ecosistemas para mejorar y fortalecer la gestión de riesgo y de la biodiversidad en el municipio de Miches, provincia El Seibo, en República Dominicana.
Durante la firma, estuvieron presentes como testigos el Sr. Jaír Urriola, Secretario Ejecutivo de la Comisión Centroamericana de Ambiente y Desarrollo (CCAD), quien se encuentra en el país como parte de una misión de reconocimiento de los proyectos dentro del portafolio Biodiversidad y Negocios en República Dominicana; la Alcaldesa de Miches, Luz María Mercedes; y Yeralffi Arache Ruiz, Supervisor Regional del Ministerio de Medio Ambiente.
