Con el propósito de apoyar el desarrollo y gestión sostenible de un vivero de mangles y plantas costeras en el municipio de Miches, provincia El Seibo, se realizó hoy la firma de un acuerdo de colaboración entre el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, la Cooperación Alemana para el Desarrollo GIZ a través del proyecto #ElSeiboResiliente, la Escuela Lucas Guibbes y el Centro para la Conservación y Ecodesarrollo de la Bahía de Samaná y su Entorno CEBSE
En este vivero se producirán más de 15,000 plantas costeras durante su primer año de trabajo, mismas que serán utilizadas en la restauración de 80 hectáreas de bosque costero, además de la recuperación de la conectividad de ecosistemas y el hábitat de especies.
